Harvest Festival
Harvest Festival is an annual community event, founded by the Scarborough Village Community Garden. For the past five years, we have collaborated with the gardeners, providing artwork and activities, event organization and outreach.
We’ve built strong relationships with the gardeners, local residents, and nearby partner organizations while highlighting the community’s connection to nature.
With the support of Toronto Arts Council’s Animating Parks, we curated a Plant series, focusing on a theme each year to explore the connection between the garden and the community it serves:

Activities: Art making, recipes, and stories about the plants we love

Activities: Mosaic creation, in collaboration with ReDefine Arts

What are the gifts that plants give us?
Activities: Puppet making, embroidery, story exchange, and youth artist mentorship
